The Full Story

About

In 2023, millions across China were moved by a delivery rider’s poetry during Chunwan (Spring Festival Gala), the country’s most-watched TV event. His verses—written between orders, scribbled on receipts, and born from the rhythm of the streets—revealed a truth often ignored: workers are not just laborers; they are thinkers, dreamers, and poets.

That moment sparked a question: How many more voices like his go unheard? From factory workers penning lines on break to farmers composing under open skies, countless people pour their inner worlds into words the world never sees. WorkersPoetry was founded to bring these hidden verses to light.

Mission

WorkersPoetry exists to amplify the hidden voices of laborers through poetry. We translate and share poems written by workers in fields, factories, and streets—verses born from struggle and resilience. By making these words visible, we challenge who gets to be called a poet and prove that art belongs to everyone.

Vision

We envision a world where no worker's inner life goes unheard. Poetry becomes a bridge between struggles, connecting delivery riders and dockworkers across continents. In ten years, we'll build the first global archive of worker poetry, transforming how the world sees labor—not just as hands that work, but as minds that dream.
