The Square

This poem is an English translation selected from the second section, "The Square" (广场), of the Chinese poetry journal Workers' Poetry Selection (《打工诗选刊》).

Night Rain

Listening to the drip-drop of rain,
accompanied by wind knocking at the window frame.
An unseen force
stirs the nerves.

The night rain falls misty,
stars vanish without trace.
Only dreams of longing
seethe with the heart’s pace.

Duckweeds in spring,
devotion in summer’s embrace,
adorn a beautiful scene,
hurrying on the journey by Qingming’s grace.

The night rain roars,
singing praises of happiness.
Nature’s romantic spirit
records life’s journey, no less.

Love gallops free,
chasing it demands a sincere heart.
Destined in the unseen,
only care can make it never part.

《雨夜》

听滴答滴答的雨声

伴随着风敲打窗棂

看不见的威风

震动着神经

夜雨濛濛

群星无踪

唯有梦中的憧憬

随心沸腾

春天里的浮萍

夏日中的虔诚

装点出一幅美景

在清明时节赶着路程

夜雨轰鸣

抒写着对幸福的赞颂

大自然的浪漫秉性

记载着生活的里程

爱在驰骋

追赶需要心诚

冥冥之中早已注定

唯有呵护才能永恒
