Poetry Garden
This poem is an English translation selected from the third section, "Poetry Garden" (诗苑), of the Chinese poetry journal Workers' Poetry Selection (《打工诗选刊》).

Chrysanthemums by the Eastern Wall
A cluster of chrysanthemums blooms by the eastern wall,
Unnoticed, yet they breathe their fragrance all.
Fearful of the dust the world might bring,
They choose not to descend from the wall’s high ring.
About the Author: Huo Yuxian, an avid literature enthusiast, finds solace and expression in the subtle interplay of nature and human sentiment.
