This poem is an English translation selected from the third section, "Poetry Garden" (诗苑), of the Chinese poetry journal Workers' Poetry Selection (《打工诗选刊》).

Rain, Falling Gently

A pair of lovers,
sharing one small umbrella,
walk hand in hand into the world of rain.
All things quietly still their noise—
only the rain falls gently.

The little umbrella shelters them from wind and rain,
but cannot contain the lovers’ bright, joyful words,
strung together
like wind chimes by the window,
lingering, drifting far…

《雨，温柔地下》

一对恋人

撑一把小伞

牵手走入雨的世界

万物悄悄地停止了喧哗

只有雨温柔地下

小伞挡住了风和雨

挡不了的是恋人欢悦的笑语

一串串

如窗前的风玲

悠悠扬场

……
